Other favorite authors

I'm curious which authors other Brautigan fans enjoy.

One of my other favorite authors (ignoring sci fi for the
moment) is Steinbeck. I'm surprised to see there are no
Steinbeck tribes, yet.

    let's see...other authors that have survived the test of time include:

    Paul Auster
    Kurt Vonnegut
    Jim Dodge
    Tibor Fischer
    Truman Capote


    just to name a few...

      sometimes . . . i wish we didnt have so much in common so i could post stuff too . .. . but um . . yeah, what he said.

        I am not really much of a reader (short attention span + dixlexia sp?, etc.) but read most all of Brautigan and Hermann Hesse. I came to the conclusion that Hesse thought about himself too much. I like Michael Standaert who has his first book coming out soon called, "The Adventures of the Pisco Kid".
